Unwinding in Mui Ne

Mũi Né is a popular tourist destination- and it’s easy to see why. With several kilometers of sandy beaches and a fantastic variety of restaurants and fruit stands, it’s a great place to kick back and relax. The town’s proximity to Ho Chi Minh City makes it an easy weekend get-away spot. It’s also a top destination for water sports like kite surfing (there’s a consistent on-shore wind during dry season)… although we didn’t get up the nerve to give it a try.

We took advantage of the beach vibes and explored the area at a slower pace. We became ‘regulars’ at a couple of restaurants, and spent plenty of time walking (and jogging) on the beach. We also learned the importance of avoiding tap water.

It was pretty rough! It hit both of us, but Andrew definitely had a worse go of it. Suppose it was only a matter of time. Thanks for following along!

We covet your balmy weather. We have so much snow! Your surroundings look fabulous and so happy to see you having many novel experiences. We can’t get over the inexpensive food, transportation and accommodation. Your blog has been really informative – we have passed it on to a lovely young couple we met last weekend who have started following you already!
